Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro is seeking a Pastry Assistant to join our culinary team in Townsend, TN. This full-time role supports the preparation of desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods for restaurant service, brunch, and special events.
We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member with a passion for baking and pastry work who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Position Details
- Full-Time
- Starting pay: $18.00/hour
- Sunday brunch availability is required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pastry, baking, or related culinary role
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of pastries, desserts, baked goods, and brunch items
- Follow recipes, prep lists, and plating standards with consistency
- Support daily pastry production and service execution
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Help with ingredient prep, product rotation, and kitchen organization
- Work closely with the pastry and culinary team to ensure quality and efficiency
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relatable culinary or pastry experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
- Must be available for Sunday brunch service
