As a Substitute Teacher, you'll provide instructional support while the classroom teacher is absent by:
Following lesson plans provided by the teacher
Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment
Managing classroom behavior and encouraging student participation
Supervising students during lunch, recess, and transitions
Taking attendance and communicating important information to school staff
Ensuring students remain safe, engaged, and on task throughout the school day
Long-term substitute teachers may also assist with lesson planning, grading assignments, and delivering instruction aligned with the school's curriculum.
