Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide expert recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain smooth operations
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements for optimal flow during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience with a focus on guest service excellence
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is desirable but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
