Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Medical Assistant to support our provider in delivering efficient and compassionate care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical front and back office experience working in a fast-paced primary care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism
- Room patients
- Answer phones
- Prepare patients for examinations
- Perform clinical tasks
- Support physicians during procedures by handling instruments, managing specimen collection, and maintaining sterile environments in outpatient or inpatient settings
- Manage medical documentation accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures NextGen
- Coordinate patient scheduling
- Authorizations and patient insurance verifications
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies, ensure proper sterilization of equipment like surgical tools, and uphold infection control standards
Experience
- Prior experience working in family medicine or primary care clinics is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology to support accurate patient assessment and documentation
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently
- Inpatient experience
- Experience performing phlebotomy, medication administration, or assisting with procedures enhances clinical versatility
- Familiarity with ICD coding practices and hospital or clinic workflows ensures seamless integration into healthcare teams
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as EHR management or adva

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
