Wells Insurance is looking for a Commercial Lines Client Associate to join our growing Commercial Lines team. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who wants to build a career in insurance and learn from experienced professionals while developing industry knowledge, technical skills, and client service expertise. The role supports policy servicing, account maintenance, renewals, documentation, and day-to-day client support activities.
What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting clients, carriers, and internal team members with policy service requests and account maintenance.
- Processing endorsements, certificates, cancellations, reinstatements, and other policy transactions.

Assisting with renewals, applications, loss runs, and underwriting support activities.

Maintaining accurate documentation and records in Epic and agency systems.

Following up on outstanding items and helping keep workflows moving.

Previous experience in insurance is a plus, but not required. Experience in customer service, banking, administrative support, education, hospitality, or other professional environments is highly transferable.
A Few Other Things

A North Carolina Property & Casualty License is preferred but not required at hire. You'll need to obtain it within your first 90 days, and we'll help you get there.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered successful in the role:
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Licensing

Active North Carolina Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred but not required at time of hire

Must be able to obtain the required Property & Casualty Insurance License within the first 90 days of employment

Must maintain active licensing requirements and complete continuing education after licensure
Experience

Entry-level candidates will be considered

Prior experience in insurance, customer service, administrative support, account support, client service, banking, sales support, educators or a professional office environment preferred but not required

Experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines, or service requests in a fast-paced environment preferred

Demonstrated ability to learn technical information, follow procedures, and communicate professionally
Technical Requirements

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Ability to learn and effectively utilize Epic Agency Management System and carrier technology platforms

Ability to accurately document client interactions, service activities, and policy transactions

Ability to follow electronic workflows, manage tasks, and maintain accurate electronic files

Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Communications, or a related field

Coursework or training related to business, insurance, risk management, communication, finance, or customer service
Industry Experience

Prior experience in Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Employee Benefits, claims, underwriting support, insurance administration, or agency operations

Experience supporting clients, account managers, advisors, producers, or sales teams in a service-oriented environment

Experience working with insurance policies, endorsements, billing inquiries, certificates, renewals, applications, or client service transactions

Experience working directly with clients, carriers, vendors, or professional business contacts

Experience in a role requiring accuracy, confidentiality, follow-up, and documentation discipline
Technical & System Requirements

Previous experience utilizing Applied Epic Agency Management System

Experience using carrier portals, rating tools, electronic workflow systems, or document management systems

Experience working in a paperless agency environment

Experience processing or supporting renewals, endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, certificates, billing-related transactions, or other service workflows
Professional Designations
