Duties
- Utilize creative way to collect the rents and other fees
- Use property management tools such as AppFolio and Rent Manager to update records, process rent payments, and generate reports
- Handle client communication professionally via phone, email, and in person, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Oversee property maintenance requests and coordinate facilities management activities to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment
- Contribute to budgeting processes by tracking expenses and assisting with financial reporting for the property
- Support compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and Section 8 programs, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations
Skills
- At least 2 - 3 years of experience in collections and leasing
- Proven experience with rent collections and working with maintenance staff
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and lease management procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to handle conflict management and negotiation effectively
- Demonstrated ability in real estate administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and contract management
- Knowledge of property maintenance procedures and facilities management best practices
- Effective team management skills coupled with office experience in administrative roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and correspondence
- Experience working within property management companies or similar real estate environments is highly desirable
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
