Location: W4842 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna
Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, "get-it-done" Expediter who brings both a sharp toolkit and a positive attitude to every site. This isn't just a "swing a hammer" role; we need a proactive problem-solver who can transition seamlessly from painting a wall to navigating a permit office.
If you are the person who sees a mess and cleans it, sees a delay and finds a workaround, and takes pride in the final 5% of a project, you’ll fit right in.
The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
You will be the "glue" that keeps our projects moving forward. Your day-to-day will be a mix of job-site management, material expediting, light carpentry and site logistics.
1. Skilled Carpentry & Punch List Execution
- Jack-of-all-Trades: Execute general handyman tasks from minor framing to paint touch-ups and everything in between.
- The Finisher: Master the "Punch List"—handling drywall patching, painting touch-ups, and ensuring the final product is flawless before the client sees it. Repair warranty call-backs as needed.
2. Logistics & Logistics Support
- Material Expediting: Pickup and deliver materials to various job sites to eliminate downtime for the crews.
- Subcontractor Support: Prep and stage sites for specialized crews so they can hit the ground running the moment they arrive.
- Communication: Act as a professional point of contact for homeowners, city officials, and subcontractors.
- Site Troubleshooting: Identify any hurdles on-site and implement immediate, effective solutions.
- Go to Person: Act as our boots-on-the-ground for whatever the situation might need.
3. Site Stewardship
- Safety & Cleaning: Maintain a tidy job site. You’ll ensure the site is clean, organized, and safe.
- Maintenance: Snow removal and lawn care as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record in general construction and carpentry.
- Attitude: A relentlessly positive, high-energy approach to work.
- Multitasking: The ability to juggle shifting priorities and manage your time without constant supervision.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work comfortably in various outdoor weather conditions.
- License: A clean driving record and valid driver’s license are non-negotiable.
- Professionalism: Strong communication skills and a reliable, "no-excuses" work ethic.
