About the role
The Luxury Pergola is growing fast across our dealer network and direct channels, and we’re looking for a hands-on Controller to own our day-to-day accounting and become the financial backbone of the company. You’ll run the books, keep our numbers clean and timely, and work side-by-side with the CFO on reporting, forecasting, and the decisions that drive the business forward.
This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for someone who likes both the precision of the close and the bigger picture of where the company is headed.
You’ll be our internal point person on all things accounting — coordinating with our outside accounting team, vendors, and banks, and bringing structure to our financial operations as we scale.
What you’ll do
- Own the full accounting cycle: general ledger, month-end and year-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Manage AP, AR, and payroll oversight, and keep cash flow tracked and reported
- Maintain and improve our financial operations in NetSuite, including approval workflows and reporting
- Coordinate with our outside accounting team and external partners on tax, audit, and compliance
- Produce accurate, on-time monthly financial statements and management reporting
- Build and maintain finance dashboards and KPI reporting to support the CFO and leadership
- Strengthen internal controls and separation of duties as the company grows
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis directly for the CFO
What we’re looking for
Required:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager role
- Strong command of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus but not required
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or comparable ERP) strongly preferred
- Experience in a product, e-commerce, manufacturing, or multi-channel/dealer environment is a plus
- Comfortable working independently and owning the books in a lean, fast-moving company
- Sharp attention to detail paired with the judgment to see the bigger financial picture
