Life Enrichment Aide (Full-Time)

Compensation: $14 to $15
Shift: 0930AM – 430PM
Schedule: Mon – Fri with one weekend a month
Position Summary:
Wesley Manor Retirement Community is looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and service-driven Full-Time Life Enrichment Aide to join our community. This role is essential to creating a positive, engaging, and fulfilling resident experience by assisting with the planning, coordination, and facilitation of daily life enrichment activities. The Life Enrichment Aide encourages resident participation, builds meaningful relationships, and helps promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. The ideal candidate brings energy, creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of seniors each day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of engaging activities and programs for senior residents.
- Encourage and facilitate social interaction among residents to promote a sense of community and well-being.
- Provide one-on-one support to residents who may require additional assistance during activities.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback.
- Collaborate with the activities team to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during activities.
- Transportation via motorized vehicle
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with seniors or in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding nature.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to push and pull a wheelchair.
- Bend repetitively and lead residents in chair exercises.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
- Must meet Wesley Manor’s driving, background, and insurability requirements.
