Overview
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as a qualified Construction Foreman. In this role, you will be an essential part of our construction projects, assisting with various tasks that contribute to the successful completion of development work including excavation, pipe laying, and grading. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties
- Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks. Opportunity for growth.
- Operate basic hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials, shoveling, and raking as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site throughout the project.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction required; we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate, and work collaboratively with others on the team.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Familiarity with task specific hand tools and safety equipment.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- A commitment to adhering to safety standards and practices on the job site.
- Reliable transportation to job sites is necessary.
Stratum Excavation is a tight knit, efficient, growing small company. We perform excavation services for home building, and also infrastructure improvements in the Spokane/ Coeur d’Alene area. We are most willing to train any individual who is willing to provide ethic and commitment to learning the trade. Tardiness, absences, inattentiveness, carelessness or drug use will not be tolerated. There is lots of room for growth and wage will be dependent on experience. I will pay what a person is worth. Experience in the earthwork industry is required for interview.
