About the Role
As a Lead Project Planning Engineer, you will drive the strategic implementation of complex manufacturing systems and automation initiatives. You will leverage your technical expertise in equipment design and project management to optimize production lifecycles and deliver high-impact engineering solutions across diverse industrial environments.
Responsibilities-
Lead the end-to-end development of equipment specifications, ensuring all technical requirements align with operational goals and safety standards.

Drive the deployment of standardized manufacturing technologies to enhance facility performance and reduce project lead times.

Analyze project proposals and conduct capability assessments to ensure robust process integration and equipment reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the lifecycle of paint shop systems, including ovens, air houses, and abatement infrastructure.

Translate complex technical data into actionable reports and executive presentations to track project KPIs and progress.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives by identifying project constraints and implementing effective technical countermeasures.
Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in project management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Proficiency in CAD software for modeling and technical documentation.

Proven ability to develop detailed engineering specifications and procurement documentation like A3 or Ringi reports.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and mitigating project risks.

Technical knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.

Experience with machine risk analysis and safety compliance protocols.

Familiarity with robot programming and vision system implementation.

Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) processes in a high-volume environment.

Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish or English/Japanese.
