Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients requiring infusion therapy. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to best practices in nursing care. Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions and medications according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusion therapy and respond appropriately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and aftercare.
- Utilize EMR systems such as HHA Exchange for patient management and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in IV infusion therapy, acute care, or critical care settings preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practices.
- Previous experience in specialties such as oncology, geriatrics, pediatrics, or emergency medicine is advantageous.
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and acute pain management strategies is beneficial.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care. The ideal candidate will also have experience with various healthcare technologies and tools such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, catheterization, and basic life support. Additional experience in areas like hospice & palliative medicine, trauma medicine, or outpatient care may enhance your application. Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
