A prominent aerospace manufacturing firm is currently seeking a skilled 1st Shift CNC Milling Operator and Setup Machinist. This role is a perfect fit for a professional who enjoys managing several CNC milling units, executing fundamental setups, and verifying the accuracy of their own output.
We provide competitive hourly compensation for individuals capable of autonomously overseeing multiple machines, conducting routine setup modifications, and ensuring high-quality part production. This is a practical, production-focused position that does not necessitate high-level CNC programming expertise.
Primary Duties

Manage the operation of several CNC milling units within a precise manufacturing setting.

Execute foundational machine configurations, which includes the installation of tooling, fixtures, and raw materials.

Handle the loading and unloading of components while keeping a close watch on active machining cycles.

Adjust basic offsets as necessary to ensure all parts remain within required tolerances.

Interpret and adhere to technical blueprints, operational instructions, and production travelers.

Utilize standard measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to conduct in-process quality checks.

Ensure that completed components satisfy all necessary dimensional and quality standards.

Keep track of tooling conditions to proactively identify any signs of wear or damage.

Help maintain steady production output by efficiently managing multiple machines simultaneously.

Contribute to a safe and organized workplace by strictly following all quality and housekeeping protocols.
Required Skills and Experience

Prior background working with CNC milling equipment.

Capability to execute standard machine setups or related configuration tasks.

Comfortable with the responsibility of running and observing several machines at once.

Proficiency in interpreting technical blueprints and understanding specific dimensional needs.

Practical experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
