We are looking for a talented and hands-on Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations and help build a high-performing team from day one.

About the Role
As Head Chef / Kitchen Manager, you will oversee all back-of-house operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency.
You will be responsible for leading the kitchen team while maintaining strong food cost and labor controls.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both cooking and managing people.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
- Lead daily kitchen operations
- Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently
- Manage service execution during busy periods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff
- Schedule and supervise BOH employees
- Create a positive and accountable team culture
- Lead by example during prep and service
Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage inventory and weekly counts
- Place food orders and manage vendor relationships
- Control food waste and maintain portion standards
- Monitor food costs and kitchen performance
- Food Quality
- Ensure all recipes and standards are followed
Opening Responsibilities
- Assist with kitchen setup and organization
- Help establish prep systems and station layouts
- Train BOH staff before opening
- Support soft opening and launch activities
- Maintain consistency across all menu items
- Support menu development and improvements
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years in a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role
- Full-service restaurant experience
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations
- Experience managing food costs and inventory
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
