WE ARE SEEKING A SANITATION WORKER FOR OUR MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN LONG ISLAND CITY, NY.
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30a.m - 5:00p.m

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces and equipment
- Disassemble and clean processing equipment using chemicals by hand scrubbing and using tools without causing damage and maintaining organization of multiple parts.
- Visually inspect the equipment and processing areas for cleanliness
- Gather, empty trash and routinely recycle cardboard.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors by sweeping & mopping; cleaning of mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen, dishwashing areas, warehouse, cafeteria, outdoors etc.
- Clean and supply restrooms.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares, etc.
- Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and/or power equipment in addition to ensure that hazards are not created.
- Additional duties assigned by Sanitation Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish).
- Required to stand, walk, reach above shoulder height; climb or balance and stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Required to climb up and down ladders.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
