Whitecap Search Healthcare Partners is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing care for patients with life-threatening conditions and be skilled in various medical procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Shift: Days, 6:30am to 7pm - 36 Hours Per Week
Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high-intensity therapies, and interventions.
Provide support, education, and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience.
Maintain close communication with all members of the healthcare team and independently recognize the need for early intervention.
Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing.
Perform IV insertion, intubation, medicine administration, blood drawing, and various other medical procedures.
Requirements:
Active NYS License
Floating required
2 years of experience in ED with some PEDS experience
Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications
Travel experience required
EPIC experience required
