Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the property management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering outstanding customer service to residents. Your proactive approach will help maintain property standards, enhance resident satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of our community.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing leasing activities, including property tours, lease signings, and upselling available units to prospective residents.
- Support rent collection processes, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records using property management software (Yardi)
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilitate communication between residents and maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other legal standards.
- Conduct regular property inspections to monitor condition and safety standards; assist in facilities management tasks as needed.
- Handle conflict management with residents professionally and diplomatically; resolve disputes efficiently while maintaining positive relationships.
- Maintain organized legal administrative files, lease agreements, contracts, and other documentation related to property operations.
- Support the leasing process by engaging with prospective tenants via phone etiquette and customer relationship management techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; experience with LIHTC programs is a plus.
- Yardi Experience a plus!
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and effectively.
- Office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
