American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a Security Guard for the 2026-2027 school year for our campuses located in the East Valley. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Communicates to the Dean or other Administrators any observations or activities that may be in violation of school policies and/or an indication of possible criminal activity to ensure safety of students, staff and the public.
- Collaborates with other school and district personnel, assigned police officer, representatives of local agencies, etc. for the purpose of providing information regarding investigations, criminal activities, gang activities, vandalism, etc. for the safety and security of school site.
- Communicates school policies and enforcement procedures to students, personnel and visitors for the purpose of ensuring their understanding of the potential consequences of violation.
- Intervenes in potential conflicts for the purpose of minimizing disruptions of campus activities and/or injury to involved parties.
- Monitors some student events (e.g. dances, athletic events, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the safety of participants of the event and security of facilities.
- Prepares a variety of documents (e.g. incident reports, security logs, memos, letters, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
- Monitor and inspect both Elementary and High School security and safety by patrolling and securing both campuses including JH/HS lunches.
- Other functions which assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
- Assist with building maintenance as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

- Advanced Knowledge of Security Guard Requirements
- Prior Experience Working Security for a School
