Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cashier/Customer Service professional to join our retail team! Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product inquiries and recommendations
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, stocking supplies as needed
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Upsell related products or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising or leadership experience in retail or customer service settings is a plus
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and bilingual abilities (preferred)
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations is advantageous
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to demonstrate products confidently and engage customers through product demos
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail calculations
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and customer interactions
