American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2-3 years of ER experience and Epic proficiency.

Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital with 1,273 staffed beds
-
Emergency Department setting with a standard patient ratio of 4:1, with occasional flex to 5:1
-
Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:00–06:30)

Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week

Every other weekend required
-
Friday–Sunday weekend block schedule available; no weekday block schedule

Epic EMR — experience required

No floating outside of scope required
-
No on-call required

Navy blue scrubs required

Parking available at $15/day or $70/month

Active MO RN license or Compact RN license valid in Missouri required; pending IL license considered for IL-based candidates

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Minimum 2–3 years of ER experience required; candidates with 2 years of experience must have Level I Trauma Center experience and at least one prior travel assignment

Level I Trauma Center experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required

Must pass a Relias EKG exam prior to placement

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation

Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for a maximum of 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
-
Former permanent employees of BJC must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
