Job Summary:
Utility Worker responsible for preparing metal products for shipment, maintaining organized work areas, operating equipment, and assisting with general shop operations to support production and shipping activities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal products for shipment by wrapping, banding, weighing, and labeling/ticketing materials
- Set up and maintain workstations, including incoming metal, risers, outgoing skids, racks, and Gaylords
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Operate tow motor/forklift to transport materials throughout the facility
- Dump scrap hoppers for solid materials and metal chips
- Empty garbage and maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Assist supervisor with daily operations and assigned tasks
- Follow all company safety procedures and workplace regulations
Pay: $18.25 per hour
