MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform interactive interviews/reviews with program applicants/recipients.
- Complete all required data entry in the State computer systems.
- Maintain required records.
- Remain current on all program responsibilities, regulations/policies, requirements and interpretations.
- File reports/refer to the Fraud Investigator for both Prevention and Program Integrity issues. Maintain liaison with the investigator and provide support as may be required, including court testimony.
- Complete East Central Income Maintenance Partnership Call Center shifts as assigned and back-up coworkers as necessary.
- Provide special program services as may be assigned by the Program Manager.
- Participate in unit and staff meetings and community related activities as assigned.
- Provide all appropriate services and actions that may be required as an Economic Support Specialist within the Department as assigned.
- Maintain current program knowledge through reading related materials/documents and participating in trainings, meetings and supervision.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance while completing all assignments and meeting all required timelines.
- Promote, get along, and work in a harmonious relationship with others including but not limited to outside agencies and county departments.
- Perform job duties and follow policies and procedures independent of direct supervision.
- Other duties as may be assigned by Management.
EDUCATION:
· A high school diploma or equivalent is required, associate degree in human service field preferred
· 1-3 years work experience in a public/economic support agency. Call Center experience is helpful.
· Computer literacy is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of program requirements, community conditions, local/state/federal regulations and workload management is required. Ability to be self-motivated, accept change, work with deadlines and other stressors, manage paperwork, solve basic math problems and organize personal work environment required.
· Ability to learn by utilizing a computer-based training environment.
· Interview and communication skills are critical as well as being able to work collaboratively with others in and outside of the Department.
· Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Pay: $21.36 - $22.77 per hour
