A real estate development company in San Antonio that specializes in commercial buildouts and renovations is looking for a full-time construction manager to join our busy team.
The ideal applicant will manage all important processes as they relate to the full general contracting of our projects. The Construction Manager will organize all onsite construction activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, as well as manage the Project Manager and Superintendents. Maintaining the greatest degree of quality, overseeing all trade and field people, and enforcing proper construction safety procedures are all part of this. This role reports to the owner directly.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct in-depth project reviews to plan deliverables and estimate costs.
- Monitor compliance with building and safety rules for all onsite and offsite construction.
- Coordination and supervision of construction employees and subcontractors
- Choose tools, supplies, and equipment and keep track of inventory.
- Comply with contractual performance requirements
- On a daily basis, review the work progress.
- Create internal and external reports on job status.
- Plan ahead of time to avoid difficulties and deal with those that arise.
- Negotiate agreement conditions, prepare contracts, and secure permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage, and reduce risks
- Ensure that quality construction requirements are met and that suitable construction procedures are used.
Qualifications:
5+ years of building and construction experience.
EXPERIENCE IN RESTAURANT BUILDOUT A HUGE PLUS.
Experienced in all areas of construction, including scheduling, field supervision, quality control, and quality control.
The ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
The ability to solve problems on one's own.
The ability to multitask while handling several projects and meeting strict deadlines.
Extremely well-organized, with a methodical approach to obtaining precision and efficiency.
Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality.
Excellent time management skills and the capacity to work under pressure.
Enjoys constructing and collaborating with others.
- Demonstrates great communication and listening abilities.
- The ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders safely in order to inspect subcontractor work.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,500.00 per month
