Seeking a Production Mold Process Technician
Responsibilities:
- Process molds to ensure cycle time standard, quality standard and job packet specs are correct
- Assist with mold changes m color changes. and materials changes when needed and directed by management
- Cleanliness/appearance of plant
- Perform basic maintenance functions as needed including EOAT and robot adjustments
- Train operators and mold setters on startup/shutdown of press when applicable and cleaning of molds
- Verify operation of secondary equipment, scrap pieces - validate and report
- Perform process verification documentation
- Maintain workable knowledge of and ability to operate all controls of a mold press, auxiliary equipment and robots safely
- Understand mold press technical terms
- Verify set up sheets route sheets and QC documents
- Verify mold temps, injection time, pressure and dryer settings for repeatability/scrap reduction
- Troubleshoot production process, maintain and adjust parameters
- Recognize textures , glosses and surfaces
- Reduce power usage of the mold press
- All other duties assigned by supervisor
Skills and Qualifications:
- MUST have 3 years experience in an injection molding, die casting or mold building environment
- Working knowledge of injection mold machines and auxillary/ mold maintenece equipment
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of injection mold design, mechanics, and plastic materials.
- MUST successfully complete hazardous waste training within 6 months after DOE
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Education: High school diploma/GED is standard; technical certifications or associate degrees in machine operations are benefits
