We are seeking a Plant Environmental Engineer with a minimum of (2) years of experience in plant environmental work and a Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical field.
Responsibilities for this role include managing environmental concerns, regulatory documentation, and permits, with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.
This position will be part of the site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team, reporting to the Plant EHS Manager and assisting with environmental compliance efforts at a large, unionized manufacturing facility.
Key responsibilities of the Plant Environmental Engineer include:
Developing and maintaining processes and systems to ensure adherence to permits and regulations.
Providing guidance and training to line staff on their environmental responsibilities.
Compiling and submitting necessary environmental reports to Federal, State, and Local Regulatory Agencies.
Coordinating all environmental sampling, reporting, and follow-up activities;
Preparing and submitting required reports and maintaining associated records.
