Production/Forklift Operator
Job description
Responsible for general material moving in and around the plant with the use of motorized lift truck, and basic production tasks. General housekeeping is also required. Rotating swing shift.
General Duties include:
- Follow all safety practices and implement Fluor and client safety standards.
- Safely operate a forklift to complete work tasks.
- Move recyclable material from operating line to recycle.
- Perform operator inspections on mobile equipment.
- Perform housekeeping duties in area assigned.
- Keep required documentation for material handled.
- Perform basic operator duties at the line (coil and entry prep, take samples, etc).
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Skills
- Organization
- Able to read tape measure
- Good communication skills
- Responsible
- Work well without direct supervision
- Problem-solving skills
- Dependable
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying heavy tools, equipment and/or materials up to 40 lbs.
- Preferred experience driving a forklift and be able to pass a forklift driving test at the work site.
