We are a play-based learning preschool and childcare center! Our goal is to provide a fun and engaging environment to every child, to nurture and guide them through their beginning journeys of life! We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, patient, flexible, and upbeat person to join our staffing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children.
This position involves working with children between the ages of 2 through 12 years old, with the possibility of working with infants and toddlers.
Candidates must be 17 years of age or older. Candidates must also be able to pass a criminal background check.
Pay: $14.50 per hour. Center experience and schooling could increase this amount.
As a part of our team, you will:
- Create a safe, nurturing indoor and outdoor environment where children can play and learn
- Partner with lead teachers, families, and outside agencies with a shared goal to provide the best care and education for their children
- Follow center policies and state licensing guidelines for childcare centers
- Help create and carry out daily activities with children
- Help children learn and grow and have fun doing it
Duties
- Foster a positive indoor and outdoor environment that encourages learning and social interaction.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain order and promote respectful behavior among students.
- Assess and monitor children's progress in literacy, math, and other developmental areas.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.
- Assist with toilet training and children's bathroom needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and practices.
- Be able to frequently move up and down from a sitting to a squatting and standing position.

Schedule:
Shift #1: Monday through Friday 11 AM to 6:15 PM
- No nights!
- No weekends!
- Possible to pick up additional hours some weeks.
- The schedule may vary week to week, but the goal is to give you a schedule as consistent as possible.
Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
