We’re working with a leading global manufacturer within the medical and industrial plastics sector, seeking a Reliability Engineer / Automation Technician II to support ongoing performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives across a highly automated production environment.
This is a hands-on, technically focused role where you’ll play a key part in improving equipment reliability, driving efficiency, and supporting production through proactive maintenance and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
· Define and implement reliability requirements for components, systems, and production equipment
· Monitor and improve performance using KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and PM/CM ratios
· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation and production equipment
· Conduct life data analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities
· Lead or support investigations into equipment failures or incidents
· Manage and optimise preventive and predictive maintenance programmes
· Support installation, testing, and validation of new and existing equipment
· Collaborate with engineering and process teams on new product introductions and equipment design
· Maintain and repair automated assembly lines to ensure optimal performance and product quality
· Coordinate maintenance activities and minimise production downtime
· Support development of annual rebuild and condition-based maintenance programmes
· Ensure compliance with safety standards, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures
· Develop and deliver technical training to enhance team capability
· Act as a subject matter expert for root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
· Promote a collaborative and positive team environment
About You
· Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or similar)
· Experience in manufacturing maintenance, automation, or reliability engineering
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
· Ability to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions
· Confident communicator, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Strong organisational and project management skills
· Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
· Committed to continuous learning and development
Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
