Job Title: Hotel Maintenance Technician
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall condition and functionality of the hotel, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. The ideal candidate has experience in general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work.
We are looking for someone for a full-time position (this includes weekends) or someone who can work part-time (8 hour shifts) on Saturday and Sunday.
For full and part-time, Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Ability to interact with guests and other team members with a professional and upbeat demeanor.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections throughout the property
- Repair fixtures such as doors, locks, lighting, drywall, and appliances
- Maintain the hotel’s pool, laundry equipment, and other facilities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies
- Keep maintenance logs and report issues requiring outside contractors
Note: Duties listed above may change and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance or facilities experience (hotel or property maintenance preferred)
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
- Sense of urgency and strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders
- Availability for weekends, evenings, and/or emergency callsPreferred Qualifications:
- HVAC certification or technical training
- Experience working in a hotel, apartment complex, or commercial building
- EPA certification (for HVAC/refrigeration)
