Voted 2022 Salon of the Year, Extension Blow Dry Bar is an established, fast-paced salon specializing in healthy-hair services, Silk Presses, Sew-Ins, Tape-Ins, Wig Installations and other extension services.
We are currently seeking up to two dependable, motivated Part-Time Salon Assistants to support our hair artists and help create an organized, efficient and welcoming experience for every client.
This position is ideal for a recent cosmetology graduate, or emerging beauty professional who wants hands-on salon experience, continued education and an opportunity to grow within an established salon.
Our assistants are an important part of the client experience. The right candidate understands that supporting the team includes client preparation, shampooing, rinsing, maintaining a clean salon and noticing what needs to be done without waiting to be repeatedly asked.

- Approximately 20–30 hours per week, depending on salon needs and availability
- Hourly base pay, tips and performance incentives
- Potential advancement into Lead Assistant, Level 1 Hair Artist or another salon position based on performance, licensing and skill development
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcome clients and help them feel comfortable upon arrival.
- Prepare clients for their scheduled services.
- Shampoo, rinse and condition clients’ hair according to service instructions.
- Assist with detangling, scalp preparation and treatment removal.
- Blow-dry or prepare hair when qualified, trained and permitted.
- Assist with braid-downs, extension preparation and other service support when properly trained and authorized.
- Apply capes, towels and protective coverings.
- Escort clients between the shampoo area, dryer and stylist stations.
- Monitor client processing and drying times as directed.
- Clean and reset shampoo bowls and styling stations between clients.
- Sweep floors and maintain clean, safe service areas throughout the day.
- Wash, fold and restock towels, capes and other salon linens.
- Disinfect tools, equipment and frequently used surfaces.
- Refill shampoo, conditioner, treatment and sanitation supplies.
- Keep the back bar, laundry area and storage areas organized.
- Assist hair artists with smooth client and service transitions.
- Notify the appropriate stylist or manager when a client has a question, concern or special service need.
- Support before-and-after photos and salon content when requested.
- Complete opening, mid-day and closing responsibilities.
- Help maintain the professional appearance and cleanliness of the entire salon.

Licensing and Education
Applicants who wish to perform regulated cosmetology or hair-design services must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the appropriate Georgia license or apprentice permit before performing those services.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and move throughout most of the scheduled shift
- Bend, reach and work around shampoo bowls
- Safely lift and carry salon supplies, laundry and products

Our Expectations
Extension Blow Dry Bar is a fast-paced, high-demand salon. Every team member is expected to arrive on time, remain engaged, communicate professionally and contribute to the overall client experience.
This is an active support position. During unbooked or slower periods, assistants are expected to clean, restock, organize, prepare for upcoming appointments and support the service team. Personal phone use should not interfere with client care, productivity or assigned responsibilities.
