Founding Operator
Olympus Edge | Greenville, South Carolina
Build Something That Matters.
Most jobs ask you to maintain a system someone else built.
This isn't one of those jobs.
Olympus Edge is looking for founding operators who want to help build an organization from the ground up—one that exists to strengthen Greenville's local economy, create meaningful careers, and generate long-term funding for community impact.
If you've ever looked around Greenville and thought, "Someone should fix this," this is your opportunity to become part of the team that actually does.
What is Olympus?
Olympus is a long-term ecosystem designed around one simple belief:
Strong businesses should create stronger communities.
Instead of treating business and nonprofit work as separate worlds, Olympus connects them together.
Every business we build is designed to strengthen another part of the ecosystem.
That means when one company grows, the entire mission grows.
Our goal isn't simply to build successful businesses.
Our goal is to create an economic engine capable of solving local problems that traditional systems often struggle to address.
Where Olympus Edge Fits
Olympus Edge is the operational growth engine of the Olympus Ecosystem.
We partner with local businesses to help them grow through community outreach, event marketing, customer acquisition, and relationship building.
The revenue generated through Olympus Edge helps fund expansion across the ecosystem while creating careers for local operators.
As Olympus Edge scales...
Project Threshold scales with it.
Where Project Threshold Fits
Project Threshold is our long-term community initiative focused on rebuilding lives through housing stability, employment opportunities, education, mentorship, and entrepreneurship.
Rather than depending entirely on grants or donations, Project Threshold is designed to be supported by businesses operating inside the Olympus Ecosystem.
In other words:
The stronger Olympus Edge becomes...
the more people Project Threshold can serve.
This position gives you the opportunity to help build both.
The Opportunity
This is a Founding Operator position.
That means you're not stepping into a fully built organization.
You're helping create it.
You'll work directly alongside the founder during the earliest stages of Olympus Edge while helping establish the systems, culture, standards, and leadership structure that future operators will inherit.
You'll have a voice in how the company grows because you'll be helping shape it from the beginning.
We're looking for people who want ownership—not just employment.
What You'll Be Building
As a Founding Operator, you'll help establish and expand Olympus Edge throughout Greenville by:
- Building relationships with local businesses
- Coordinating community events and outreach campaigns
- Recruiting ambitious people into the organization
- Interviewing and training new operators
- Creating repeatable systems and office procedures
- Managing field operations and event logistics
- Leading teams in professional community engagement
- Helping build a culture centered around accountability, service, and leadership
- Working alongside leadership to improve processes as we grow
This role will evolve as the organization evolves.
Your ideas will matter.
Your systems may become the company standard.
Who We're Looking For
This role is intentionally demanding.
We're looking for someone capable of building—not maintaining.
The ideal Founding Operator is someone who naturally takes initiative when something needs to be done instead of waiting to be told.
Someone who enjoys solving problems.
Someone who isn't intimidated by uncertainty.
Someone who can inspire others.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone capable of quickly building, training, and managing teams while balancing office operations with community events and field leadership.
You'll eventually help oversee recruiting pipelines, onboarding, operator development, scheduling, event execution, and day-to-day operational excellence.
If building organizations excites you more than simply working for one, you'll likely enjoy this role.
What Success Looks Like
Success isn't measured by how many hours you work.
It's measured by what you build.
Successful Founding Operators will:
- Develop high-performing operator teams
- Create repeatable systems that continue working without constant oversight
- Build strong relationships throughout Greenville
- Help expand Olympus Edge into a trusted local organization
- Contribute directly to funding Project Threshold's future programs
- Grow into leadership positions as new offices and initiatives are launched
What You Can Expect
This isn't a corporate ladder.
It's a chance to help build the ladder.
As Olympus expands, Founding Operators will be first in line for opportunities involving:
- Office leadership
- Regional operations management
- Event operations leadership
- Executive development
- New office launches
- Internal training leadership
- Expansion into future Olympus companies
Those who help build the foundation should have the opportunity to help lead what comes next.
We're committed to promoting from within whenever possible because we believe the people who build the culture should be the ones who protect it.
The Reality
We're building this from the ground up.
That means there will be uncertainty.
Processes will evolve.
Systems will improve.
Some days you'll help coordinate an event.
Other days you'll interview candidates.
Some weeks you'll spend more time building systems than using them.
This isn't for everyone.
But if you've ever wanted to say, "I helped build that," this is the stage where that becomes possible.
Why Partner With Olympus?
Because this is bigger than one company.
We're building an ecosystem designed to strengthen Greenville through entrepreneurship, employment, and community investment.
Every business relationship.
Every operator trained.
Every successful campaign.
Every new office.
Every event.
Every dollar generated.
Moves us one step closer to expanding Project Threshold and creating opportunities for people who simply need someone willing to believe in them.
We're not looking for employees to fill positions.
We're looking for builders who want to leave Greenville stronger than they found it.
If that sounds like the kind of work you'd be proud of years from now...
We'd love to build with you.
