American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ years of experience scanning on a Siemens scanner for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital setting providing short-term acute care with 554 staffed beds
-
CT Tech unit supporting Radiology/Cardiology services
-
Night shift, 3x12 hours from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
-
Shifts may include both weekdays and weekends, with schedules varying week to week based on departmental needs
-
Weekday night 12-hour and weekend day/night 12-hour on-call requirements
-
No floating to sister facilities or outside scope of practice
-
Scans include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
-
Special procedures include aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, CT colonography, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
-
Uses Siemens CT scanner, PACS, and Ceretom portable CT equipment
-
Cerner EMR used for charting
-
36 hours per week guaranteed, with facility allowed up to 3 call-offs during the 13-week assignment

Minimum 1 year of experience scanning on a Siemens scanner required
-
ARRT-CT certification required at time of submission
-
BLS certification required
-
Cerner charting experience preferred
-
Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
-
Experience with contrast media preparation and administration required
-
Experience starting peripheral IVs required
-
Experience with abdomen and pelvis CT with and without contrast required
-
License required if applicable
-
Perform CT scans across a wide range of specialties including abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging

Conduct special procedures such as brain perfusion, CT colonography, CT arthrography, myelography, and vascular CTA studies
-
Utilize multiplanar reconstruction for image post-processing

Hunter green scrub color required
-
First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted

Pending state license candidates are accepted
-
Requests for time off greater than 7 days require facility approval
-
A 6-month break is required for travelers who have completed 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark, whichever comes first

Former staff must have a 12-month separation before returning

COVID vaccine is optional, but candidates must upload vaccination series or a declination for facility reporting purposes
