The Preschool Cook is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with state childcare regulations and USDA guidelines. This role includes creating a monthly menu, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and ensuring all food is prepared with attention to allergies, dietary restrictions, and age-appropriate nutrition.
Prepare and serve daily breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack for children
Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and age-appropriate
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
Develop and implement a monthly menu
Ensure variety in meals, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins
Accommodate food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special needs
