General Statement of Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate small group discussions and model positive behavior and serve as a mentor for program participants.
2. Assess group dynamics and collaborate with leadership personnel to create activities for desired outcomes such as relationship building, positive social interaction, and improved self-confidence.
3. Foster collaboration and leadership among participants by supporting activities that promote teamwork.
4. Meet weekly with the program team to review and update enrollment changes, curriculum modifications, and program needs.
5. Participate in required trainings, workshops, conferences or other aspects of professional development including funder sponsored events.
6. Collaborate with partners and community organizations to enhance program goals and objectives.
7. Attend community events representing the organization upon assignment.
8. Report to LEI Administrators any suspicion of child abuse or neglect and any compliance procedures for follow-through. Reference LEI Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporting Protocols & Procedures.
9. Other duties as assigned, including occasional weekend or evening events, supporting other staff and representing the organization upon assignment.

Qualifications:
1. Strong work ethic and commitment to positive youth development.
2. Success in prioritizing and meeting multiple demands and deadlines.
3. Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
4. High School Degree and/or 1 year of experience working with persons from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
5. Reliable access to transportation.
6. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
