Duties
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and effective communication.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the latest cell phones, accessories, and plans.
- Assist customers with selecting suitable devices, plans, and accessories based on their usage and preferences.
- Upsell additional products and services to maximize customer satisfaction and store sales.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts.
- Maintain organized merchandise displays, ensure proper stocking, and implement merchandising strategies to attract shoppers.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via calls or online inquiries.
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Educate customers on store promotions, product features, and plan options to enhance their purchasing experience.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in electronics or grocery store environments.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish (bilingual preferred).
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math for transactions.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and retail math principles.
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with professional phone etiquette.
- Supervising experience is a plus; leadership qualities are highly valued.
- Familiarity with upselling techniques to increase sales opportunities.
- Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and responsibly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting.
