Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Esthetics Instructor Assistant to support our Facial Specialist Program. This position is ideal for a licensed Facial Specialist or Full Specialist who is passionate about esthetics, education, and helping students succeed.
While Chic Image Academy is a learning-focused environment that provides opportunities for professional growth and expanded knowledge, candidates are expected to possess the foundational esthetics knowledge, technical skills, professionalism, and confidence necessary to perform the duties of this role from day one.
The Instructor Assistant plays an important role in supporting student learning, reinforcing curriculum standards, assisting with hands-on training, and maintaining a positive, organized, and professional classroom environment. Candidates should be comfortable leading classroom activities independently, managing student engagement, and delivering consistent training with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on esthetics training
- Independently manage and maintain an organized, productive, and professional classroom environment of up to 20 students while ensuring student engagement and adherence to academy policies
- Deliver curriculum and practical training consistently in accordance with academy standards, established lesson plans, and industry standards
- Support students during practical services, including facials, waxing, skin analysis, and foundational esthetic treatments
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students and escalate student concerns, disciplinary matters, or sensitive situations to lead instructors or management
- Coordinate and oversee student model services to ensure appointments are properly scheduled, services are delivered accurately, and guest experiences meet academy quality standards
- Ensure classrooms, treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies are properly prepared, maintained, organized, and sanitized
- Monitor student performance, professionalism, attendance, and engagement
- Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and school policies
- Provide constructive coaching and guidance to help students build confidence and technical skills
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Current Florida Facial Specialist or Full Specialist license required
- Strong foundational knowledge of skincare, facials, waxing, sanitation, skin analysis, and esthetic procedures
- Ability to confidently lead classroom activities and manage student engagement
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and punctual
- Ability to follow established curriculum and training standards while maintaining consistency in instruction
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and represent the academy with professionalism at all times
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required
- Passion for esthetics, education, and student success
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required
- Previous instructor, trainer, coaching, mentoring, or educational experience preferred but not required

- Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am-5pm (1 hour lunch)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
