What You'll Do
Diagnostics & Repair Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles. Troubleshoot engine, electrical, brake, steering, suspension, cooling, fuel, HVAC, and drivetrain systems.
- Perform major and minor mechanical repairs. Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical resources to identify and resolve vehicle issues. Preventative Maintenance Complete scheduled preventative maintenance services. Perform DOT inspections and safety inspections. Conduct lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, tire inspections, and routine service procedures. Review and address driver vehicle inspection reports. Maintain accurate repair records and service documentation. Order parts and assist with inventory management. Team Support Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Collaborate with operations and transportation staff. Participate in ongoing training and skill development. Assist with roadside service and emergency repairs when needed.
Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical repair work Preferred Commercial Fleet Maintenance Experience Diesel Engine Repair Experience Technical School or Trade School Training Preventative Maintenance Experience Don't currently have a CDL? We may assist the right candidate in obtaining one.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds Bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl under vehicles Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Work around machinery, vehicle lifts, diesel equipment, oils, and shop tools
