We are seeking a Senior Acquisition Policy Expert to join our team in the Washington, DC Navy Yard area. The ideal candidate will:
- Assist the Navy to review Annual and Quarterly Selected Acquisition Reports (SAR); Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES) Quarterly; Research, Development & Acquisition Information System (RDAIS) Quarterly, Monthly, and Ad-Hoc Reporting.
- Apply attention to detail and use subject matter expertise to identify issues and propose resolutions.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a technical field.
- 7 years of related experience in supporting DoD Acquisition legislation, policy and guidance.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD acquisition systems and reports. Examples include but not limited to Selected Acquisition Reports (SAR), Quarterly and Monthly DAES Reports, and Quarterly and Monthly ASN (RD&A) Dashboard reporting.
- Strong proficiency in speaking and writing in English.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Candidate must hold an active SECRET clearance.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:
- 10 years of directly related experience in supporting DoD Acquisition legislation, policy and guidance. Preferred that 5 of 10 years experience include creating or reviewing NAVSEA Acquisition Documentation and briefing material being prepared for Major Decision Reviews and Gate Reviews.
- DoD/DON procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process), knowledge of Navy Program Executive Office major acquisition programs.
