Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled A/C Technician to join our dynamic team dedicated to maintaining optimal climate control and mechanical systems across commercial and residential properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure that building environments remain comfortable, efficient, and safe for occupants. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and building automation system (BAS) controls to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform electrical diagnostics on HVAC/R systems, ensuring proper electrical connections and system functionality.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices; identify root causes of system failures.
- Repair or replace defective components including compressors, fans, motors, valves, thermostats, electrical wiring, and refrigerant lines following safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports for compliance and future reference.
- Support building automation systems integration to optimize energy use and system performance.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including EPA standards for refrigerants; handle refrigerants responsibly.
- Assist with HVAC system installation projects from planning through commissioning; coordinate with property maintenance teams as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly to clients and ensuring their satisfaction with the work performed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or similar role with construction or property maintenance background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC/R systems including refrigeration units and boilers.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and building automation controls confidently.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical systems effectively.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC installations or repairs is a plus.
- Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; knowledge of ammonia refrigeration is advantageous.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, voltmeters; experience with HVAC installation is desirable.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and mechanical systems repair techniques essential for complex troubleshooting tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license for travel between job sites reliably.

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
