Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN

Pay: $50.00 – $60.00+ / hour (DOE)
Fairview Rehabilitation & Healthcare, managed by WLC Management Firm, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our collaborative therapy team. WLC Management Firm operates locally across Southern Illinois, managing nine skilled nursing facilities dedicated to providing high-quality, family-like care. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluations & Screenings: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, swallowing (dysphagia), and cognitive-linguistic assessments.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement customized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to resident needs.
- Targeted Interventions: Deliver specialized therapy for dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, dementia, and cognitive deficits.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families to coordinate holistic care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely daily clinical documentation compliant with EMR/EHR systems and state/federal standards.
- Resident & Caregiver Education: Counsel residents and educate families on communication techniques, safe swallowing practices, and home programs.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license (or immediate eligibility).
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Proven ability to perform comprehensive assessments and implement effective treatment plans in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, dysphagia management, and EMR documentation.
