Electromechanical Field Service Technician
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Travel: Local & Overnight
INFINITEK is partnering with a leading electromechanical and reliability services organization to hire an Electromechanical Field Service Technician based in the Philadelphia area. This is a hands-on field role ideal for technicians who enjoy troubleshooting, travel, and working directly with customers in dynamic industrial environments.
You’ll work with advanced diagnostic tools, support a wide range of rotating equipment, and collaborate with experienced technicians while delivering high-quality service in the field.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform service, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on electromechanical equipment
- Inspect and test AC/DC motors and related equipment
- Conduct electrical testing using Megger, PdMA MCE, multimeter, DLRO, and similar tools
- Install and remove motors, perform laser alignment, replace bearings and seals, set air gaps, and torque components to spec
- Clean equipment using bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning methods
- Work independently and as part of a team while maintaining strict safety standards
- Provide professional, customer-facing service on job sites
- Complete assigned work in compliance with policies and procedures
What They’re Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on AC/DC motor experience
- Field service, electromechanical, or rotating equipment background
- PdMA testing experience preferred
- Level I Vibration Analysis preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to travel locally and overnight
- Flexible availability (overtime, weekends, on-call as required)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience
- OEM VFD drive certifications (Eaton, ABB, Toshiba, Yaskawa) a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Ability to work in physically demanding and inclement weather conditions
