Ramblin Express operates 24/7, 365 days a year, giving qualified drivers opportunities to assist with other areas of our passenger transportation business when school isn't in session.
YOUR SCHOOL SCHEDULE
Tuesday–Friday Split Shift
Morning: Approximately 5:45 AM–9:30 AM
Afternoon: Approximately 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
And the best part?
Saturday OFF. Sunday OFF. Monday OFF.
Drivers interested in additional hours may also have opportunities to assist other areas of Ramblin Express outside their regular school assignment.
PAY
$25.00–$29.50 per hour, based on experience.

COLORADO SCHOOL BUS DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
Because you'll be transporting students, drivers assigned to this position must meet Colorado Department of Education (CDE), FMCSA, DOT, school/service-provider, and Ramblin Express requirements applicable to the vehicle and assignment.
Candidates must have:
- Valid Class A or B CDL with the appropriate class for the vehicle
- Passenger (P) Endorsement
- School Bus (S) Endorsement
- At least 2 years of recent professional CDL passenger-driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification/documentation as required
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to satisfy applicable DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Ability to satisfy required criminal/background and school transportation clearances
Before transporting students, drivers must also successfully complete or provide documentation of all applicable CDE qualification and training requirements, including:
- Current-year CDE School Bus Operator written test
- Required driver performance evaluation, including pre-trip inspection
- Required pre-service training for the vehicle and assigned duties
- Mountain and adverse-weather training
- Mandatory reporter and student confidentiality training
- Receipt/access to the current CDE School Bus/Multifunction Bus/Motor Coach Bus Operator Guide
- Any required training involving student restraints, CSRS, or wheelchair securement when applicable
Drivers must complete at least 6 hours of CDE-required in-service training annually and successfully complete the required written and driver performance testing annually.
First Aid, CPR, and Universal Precautions training/documentation must be completed within 90 calendar days of initial employment if not already current, with training/recertification every two years thereafter.
Ramblin Express will provide and/or coordinate applicable company and CDE-required training as appropriate for the assignment.
