About the student
- 12th grade student
- The student needs to work with a tutor for strengthening her math skills.
- The tutoring is being funded by an agency so the tutor needs either a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mathematics OR a teaching certification.
- The student is interested in dual enrolling at her local community college to take a business course. However, the math requirements for the course are currently preventing her from moving forward.
- The family is looking for a tutor to help strengthen the student's math skills so she can build the confidence and proficiency needed to succeed in a college-level business course.
- The goal is for the student to better understand upper level math concepts to be able to succeed in a college business class.
- The family is asking for 2 hour sessions once a week, between 10am-6pm, on Friday.
- The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at Key Largo Branch Library.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have prior experience working with high school students.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching math.
- Ideal candidates will have either a Bachelor's degree in Math or a Teaching Certification in Mathematics.
- Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.
