Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a vital part of our early childhood education team, you will lead classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and build meaningful relationships with children and families. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development and commitment to creating a positive learning atmosphere will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Duties
- Design and implement dynamic, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Lead daily classroom activities to promote active learning, curiosity, and social-emotional growth among preschool children.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful environment.
- Collaborate with parents through regular communication about child progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special needs.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incident reports.
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure effective classroom management and instructional consistency.
- Incorporate early intervention techniques for children requiring additional support in areas such as speech, motor skills, or behavioral challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting, including classroom experience with toddlers and preschoolers.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare is highly valued.
- Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and standardized testing methods for early learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and Montessori approaches if applicable.
- Experience working within private schools or daycare environments is preferred; Montessori training is a plus.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols to ensure compliance at all times.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
