Sugino Corp, a leader in precision cleaning, cutting, & deburring is looking for a Service Technician in our Itasca, IL location. The Service Technician performs various entry level installations, repairs and services of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies or tooling at the component level, applying standard techniques and procedures to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair problems on a broad range of product lines.
What You Will Do:
- Install, service, and repair electronic and/or mechanical equipment and/or tooling at component level of intermediate complexity.
- Communicate with customers and travel to customer sites.
- Process required service report paperwork.
- Provide technical support to customers by e-mail or phone.
- Participate in on-call rotation based on customer needs.
Who We Are Looking For:
- One to two years of relevant experience, preferably in an electric and/or machine field service.
- Four-year degree or equivalent in mechanical and/or electrical.
- Computer skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Basic understanding of CNC controls.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to quality.

- Physical requirements include heavy lifting (25+ lbs), frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing/pulling, climbing stairs/ladders, walking, and operating a motor vehicle.
- Working conditions may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, vibration, and various noise levels.
- Travel to customers and office locations is required (75%-90%) of the time.
