Dental assistants are responsible for facilitating positive patient experiences from the time a patient arrives to the time that they leave the office, assisting with clinical procedures, helping with sterilization and hygiene and any other miscellaneous or delegated tasks. Dental assistants are expected to be team players who can prioritize tasks and work efficiently to complete them. The overarching goal of this position is to facilitate positive patient experiences while assisting the office in running smoothly and efficiently. Daily tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
Assisting
- Primary Goal: Facilitate positive patient experiences and assist the office in running smoothly and efficiently.
- Setting up for procedures and cleaning up after procedures.
- Assisting during clinical procedures.
- Patient Education: Hygiene instructions, Post operative instructions, etc.
- Documentation: Inputting patient information, Medical histories, Notes, etc.
- Maintain respective operatory and keep it proficiently stocked and ready for use.
- Rotating Responsibilities: On-Call availability, Post Op Calls, Confirmation of lab cases, Lab duty, etc.
- Clinical Skills: Radiographs, Impression taking and lab work as directed.
- Case Conferencing
Sterilization
- Assist with instrument cleaning, sterilization and redistribution.
- It is expected that assistants are also proficient in sterilization.
Miscellaneous
- Assist with lab cases check in/out.
- Assist with laundry
- Assist in cleaning and organization of common areas (i.e. Sterile room, lab, lobby, store room, consult room, etc.)
- Complete any other delegated or identified tasks that will help the office run smoothly and efficiently.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
