The Direct Support Professional (Direct Care) Staff shall be competent to provide the services necessary to meet individual resident needs. Responsible for providing supervision and support to adults residing at care home and for assisting them to meet goals described in their individual needs and services and individual program plans. Starts at $18 per hour; however, rate is negotiable with experience.
The Direct Support Professional will provide direct supervision and support for each client adults with intellectual disabilities. as determined by their individual service plan and
Clients may also have a mental health behavioral plan. diagnosis and complex behavioral challenges. The program focuses on Provide assistance to client in basic self-help skills helping individuals work through their (Bathing and some Incontinence), daily living skills, adaptive living skill areas, and implement training emotional and behavioral challenges, skill programs. prevent relapse of excessive intensive cycle of behaviors, and learn skills maintain daily logs and data reports. Clients will attain skills that allow them to interact more successfully in the community.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
Excellent attendance is a must. Self-directed Direct Support Professional skilled at behavior intervention, medication management, mobility assistance and documentation/charting. Highly flexible and willing to work all shifts. Empathetic, client-focused caregiver with experience in a residential setting;
