A well-established, physician-owned multispecialty medical group in Fall River, Massachusetts is seeking a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the office practice of a Family Medicine physician.
This is an opportunity to join an established, patient-focused practice with strong physician support, access to multiple specialties and on-site diagnostic services.
The practice is prepared to hire immediately and begin onboarding and insurance credentialing for the selected candidate.
The Role
The APP will provide primary care to adult and adolescent patients in an office-based Family Medicine setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and managing adult and adolescent patients
- Performing patient assessments and follow-up visits
- Developing and managing treatment plans
- Providing ongoing management of patient conditions
- Educating patients and families
- Coordinating care with the Family Medicine physician and broader care team
- Taking independent responsibility for patient care appropriate to your experience, training and clinical confidence
- Working as part of a collaborative, patient-focused office team
Schedule
The full-time schedule is:
- 36–40 hours per week
- 4 days per week
- Thursdays off
- No nights
- No weekends
A part-time schedule of 2–3 days per week may also be considered.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- An active Massachusetts NP or PA license
- A valid DEA registration
- A Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration
- Strong clinical judgment
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassion and maturity
- The ability to work confidently and independently
Primary Care experience is desirable.
Recent graduates may also be considered if they have a strong clinical background and demonstrate the ability to work confidently and independently.
Portuguese Language Skills
Portuguese fluency is particularly valuable for Primary Care opportunities in the Fall River area, but it is not required for all openings.
Candidates with Portuguese language skills are encouraged to highlight this experience when applying.
Clinical Environment & Support
The position offers access to the resources of a large physician-owned multispecialty organization with approximately 180 physicians/providers and 70 advanced practice providers.
The practice has strong support from physicians across multiple specialties and access to on-site services including:
- Full laboratory
- Radiology
- Cardiac testing
- Pulmonary testing
- Allergy services
- Infectious Disease
- Additional specialty and diagnostic services
The practice uses eClinicalWorks (eCW) for scheduling, documentation and billing.
