Program Location: Outdoor park in Oceanside
- Boys’ Running Program: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00–4:30 PM
- Girls’ Running Program: Wednesdays and Fridays, 3:00–4:30 PM
The boys’ and girls’ groups train on separate days and are not combined into one class. Cannettic Energy is hiring separate lead and assistant coaches for each program.

Cannettic Energy is looking for energetic, experienced, and dependable running coaches and assistant coaches for our outdoor youth running programs in Oceanside.
These programs serve boys and girls in grades 4–8 through separate training groups. Our goal is to help young runners improve their endurance, speed, coordination, running technique, discipline, confidence, and teamwork in a positive and encouraging environment.
For the boys’ program, we are seeking coaches with the leadership skills and experience needed to positively motivate, mentor, and manage boys in upper-elementary and middle-school grades.
For the girls’ program, we are seeking coaches who can confidently encourage, mentor, and motivate girls while helping them develop strength, endurance, confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits.
We want coaches who can challenge young athletes while keeping each practice structured, safe, age-appropriate, and fun!!!

Cannettic Energy is a growing North County San Diego enrichment company currently providing programs at eight partner locations throughout Oceanside, Vista, and surrounding communities.
We offer high-energy after-school enrichment programs, summer camps, school-break activities, recreation classes, and community programs for youth and adults. Our programs include gymnastics, cheer, dance, multi-sports, running, STEAM, robotics, art, Spanish, yoga, leadership development, and more.
At Cannettic Energy, we do more than teach activities—we create experiences that help students discover their strengths, try new things, form friendships, and believe in what they can accomplish. Our coaches bring enthusiasm, preparation, professionalism, patience, and encouragement into every program.
- Create and lead structured, age-appropriate running practices for students in grades 4–8
- Develop organized weekly lesson plans and progressive training goals
- Lead dynamic warm-ups, running drills, endurance training, sprint work, conditioning, relays, games, and cool-downs
- Teach proper running form, pacing, breathing techniques, sportsmanship, and injury-prevention habits
- Adapt activities for runners with different abilities, fitness levels, and experience
- Maintain positive control of the group and provide active supervision throughout practice
- Establish clear park boundaries and monitor hydration, weather conditions, and outdoor safety
- Check students in using the program roster and maintain accurate attendance
- Coordinate with assistant coaches and clearly communicate their responsibilities
- Follow all dismissal and authorized pick-up procedures
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and the Cannettic Energy team
- Encourage confidence, perseverance, consistency, teamwork, and a healthy competitive spirit
- Arrive prepared, organized, and ready to lead
- Account for traffic and parking so you are on-site and ready to clock in at the scheduled start time
- Accurately clock in and out through our app platform during the scheduled time block
- Support the lead coach during warm-ups, running drills, conditioning, relays, games, and cool-downs
- Help supervise runners and maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment
- Demonstrate exercises and run alongside students when needed
- Encourage students who need additional motivation or individual support
- Assist with attendance, equipment, hydration breaks, group transitions, and dismissal
- Help monitor students, park boundaries, weather conditions, and outdoor safety
- Follow the lead coach’s lesson plan and Cannettic Energy program expectations
- Communicate professionally and work cooperatively with the lead coach
- Arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to participate
- Accurately clock in and out during the scheduled time block
- Professional experience in running, track and field, cross-country, athletic conditioning, fitness training, or youth sports coaching
- Experience working with upper-elementary or middle-school students
- Ability to create structured, progressive, and engaging practice plans
- Strong leadership, communication, time-management, and group-management skills
- Able to independently manage and motivate a group of young runners
- Energetic, encouraging, dependable, self-motivated, and professional
- Able to remain physically active outdoors for the full 90-minute class
- Reliable transportation to the Oceanside program location
- Consistent availability for the agreed-upon weekly schedule
- Running, athletic, fitness, or youth sports experience
- Enjoys working with students in grades 4–8
- Positive, energetic, responsible, and ready to learn
- Able to follow directions and work cooperatively with the lead coach
- Comfortable running, demonstrating exercises, and remaining active outdoors
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and communication
- Reliable transportation to the Oceanside program location
- Consistent availability for the agreed-upon weekly schedule
CPR/First Aid certification and previous experience with youth running programs, track and field, cross-country, after-school programs, or summer camps are preferred.
Applicants must be willing to complete all required background clearances, safety training, and program onboarding before beginning work.
