Position Summary
Bennett Metal Products is seeking a dependable and hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays an essential role in keeping our equipment, facilities, and production operations running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, manufacturing equipment, and facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic control-system issues.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and work with production personnel to restore operations.
- Develop, follow, and document preventive-maintenance schedules.
- Inspect machinery regularly to identify wear, safety concerns, and potential failures.
- Troubleshoot motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, switches, sensors, and related equipment.
- Assist with the installation, relocation, startup, and commissioning of new machinery.
- Coordinate specialized repairs and service visits with outside contractors and equipment manufacturers.
- Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance tools, replacement parts, and critical supplies.
- Document completed repairs, inspections, parts used, and recommended follow-up work.
- Support facility maintenance involving HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical systems, and general building repairs.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and operating efficiency.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all company safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist other team members as operational needs require.
Qualifications
- 3 years minimum experience
- Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting CNC machinery, machine tools, or automated manufacturing equipment is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with preventive-maintenance programs and maintenance documentation.
- Basic fabrication, welding, machining, or equipment-rigging experience is beneficial.
- Ability to use diagnostic instruments, hand tools, and power tools safely.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, management, vendors, and service technicians.
- Willingness to respond to urgent equipment problems and adjust priorities based on production needs.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around industrial equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds safely.
- Ability to work from ladders or elevated platforms when necessary.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving noise, oils, metalworking fluids, temperature changes, and moving equipment.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
Preferred Technical Experience
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
- CNC machining centers and turning equipment
- Machine controls and basic PLC troubleshooting
- Three-phase industrial electrical systems
- Motors, drives, relays, sensors, and control circuits
- Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Air compressors and compressed-air systems
- Industrial HVAC and facility equipment
- Welding, fabrication, and general machining
- Computerized maintenance-management systems
